CB HOUSING

Context
The Collonge-Bellerive housing project consists of six high-quality residential units within a medium-scale building of three floors. Located in a neighborhood undergoing gradual densification, the project seeks to introduce collective housing that preserves a domestic scale and a strong relationship with outdoor space, consistent with the residential character of the area.

Architecture
The project reinterprets conventional collective housing through a simple idea: designing a large house shared by six families. Instead of a typical apartment block, the building is conceived as a compact residential volume where each dwelling retains a sense of individuality.Five of the six apartments are duplex units, allowing for generous internal spaces and varied spatial experiences. Each unit extends toward the exterior through large covered terraces, connecting either to the garden at ground level or to private roof terraces above. This organization strengthens the relationship between interior and exterior space, giving each dwelling qualities more commonly associated with a private house than with collective housing.
