LAN2 HOUSING

Context
Following the first residential development in the Lancy neighborhood, this second project was commissioned by the same client on a nearby plot. Located in the same area targeted by the municipality for careful densification, the project continues the ambition of introducing compact, high-quality housing that integrates naturally into the existing residential fabric.

Architecture
With only ten apartments, the project explores a more intimate scale, reinforcing the idea of housing that reads as a large dwelling rather than a conventional apartment block. The building is conceived as a compact ensemble that aligns with the grain of the surrounding plots, maintaining the domestic character of the neighborhood while increasing density. As in the first project, each apartment is designed with a distinct typology and spatial identity, shaped by orientation, views, and its position within the building. This approach allows the units to benefit from generous light, varied spatial experiences, and a high degree of privacy, creating a living environment that combines the qualities of collective housing with the atmosphere of a private home.
